As an Internal Audit Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in risk management, internal controls and financial processes while working alongside experienced professionals.This internship provides exposure to key audit functions, allowing you to develop analytical, technical and problem-solving skills in a corporate environment. Interns experience a sense of personal accomplishment and contribution while experiencing the corporate business culture through work assignments and structured activities. Each intern assignment consists of challenging projects with specific goals, providing opportunities for personal growth and development.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to support audit initiatives and drive process improvements.
  • Support the review and documentation of policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Gain practical experience in SAP and other financial systems, enhancing your technical skills.
  • Analyze financial data and reports to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

  • Incoming Senior undergraduate students in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Business major
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Required to be in the office four days per week in Apex, NC
  • Proficient user of MS Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Think fast! You like juggling multiple projects efficiently, and you enjoy the flexibility of changing priorities
  • You produce quality work - you comb over details and stay organized
  • Whether it's written or in person, you communicate effectively and professionally
  • You treat all tasks and projects assigned to you with an entrepreneurial spirit - you fully own your work and have pride in what you do
  • Previous internship or work experience preferred
