Job Summary

As part of the Infrastructure & Operations leadership team reporting to the VP, CISO & IT Infrastructure, the Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for day-to-day operations to support and augment the VPs overall responsibilities. The director of information technology is an advanced role supporting the entire I&O program. This individual provides leadership, executive support, strategic and tactical guidance, and complete execution for an enterprise-class IT infrastructure program. Preferably, the Director, IT Infrastructure will have a technical background which should encompass multi-cloud operations, server & storage architecture, and network operations.

The Director, IT Infrastructure will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. The Director, IT Infrastructure, will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

Responsibilities


  • Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologies.

  • Manage IT department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.

  • Develop and review budgets for and from IT department divisions and ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives

  • Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.

  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.

  • Work closely with leadership overseeing all core functions of the Infrastructure program.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal business units and external entities to maintain a strong network.

  • Remove complexity and obstacles that hinder efficient operations and security controls enterprise wide.



Basic Qualifications


  • Master's or other advanced degree (MBA, information assurance, computer science, etc.) preferred but not required.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information assurance or related technical field.

  • 8+ years of related IT systems administration (preferable).

  • 5+ years of management experience.

  • Excellence in communicating privacy, business risk and remediation requirements from assessments.

  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This will be a remotely based position located preferably in the eastern or central US, with minimal anticipated travel.
