POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Specialist will develop and oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure continued compliance with retention of ISO/IATF certification. The role will define, manage, and audit the document control program. This position will conduct internal audits of all departments and provide input for improving processes, products, or positions. This position will confirm Customer Specifics (CQI).

CORE FUNCTIONS

* Develop and oversee the Quality Management System.

* Develop and maintain a document control process and storage methodology for all Brand documents.

* Facilitate/conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance to QMS. Suggest and implement improvements.

* Manage the required support and documentation to maintain ISO/IATF certification.

* Responsible for auditing and ensuring accurate control of all controlled documents for production.

* Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Suppliers in developing DFMEA and PFMEA, and APQP activities, which include but is not limited to PPAP documentation and other OEM required quality documentation.

* Responsible for keeping up to date on QA regulations and communicating new or revised regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

* Associate degree in related field preferred.

* 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience is required.

* 3-5 years of related ISO experience in auditing or ISO standards is required.

* None.

Skills and Abilities

* Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Software.

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret ISO/IATF and other related or similar standards and apply changes to the QMS.

* Ability to effectively communicate results and recommendations from internal audits.

* Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.

* Minimal travel is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* This position is subject to medium work; Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

* This position is subject to the following physical activities: climbing, standing, walking, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing.

Visual Acuity

* The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working Conditions

* The worker is subject to both office and plant environmental conditions. This includes heat, noise, forklift traffic, and other hazards associated with a production floor environment.

Experience
3 years: 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience is required.
3-5 years of related ISO experience in auditing or ISO standards is required. (required)
