Gorman & Company is looking for a full time Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician who is committed to providing first class groundskeeping and light maintenance services as part of a collaborative maintenance team in the Little Rock area. A day in the life of a Grounds and Light Maintenance Technician:
- Work with our maintenance team to perform grounds maintenance such as lawn services, maintaining shrubs and gardens, spraying insecticides and clean-up.
- Outdoor building maintenance - painting, light bulbs, install and/or maintain fences.
- Assist outside contractors and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Assist in supplies inventory control and upkeep of all ground's equipment.
- Complete corrective maintenance by completing service requests.
- Assist with unit preparation to include painting, cleaning, repairing and/or replacing appliances, plumbing, and/or electrical fixtures.
- Emergency maintenance/On-Call when needed.
What do I need to qualify to be a Groundskeeper and Light Maintenance Technician?
- Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
- Previous grounds keeping / landscaping / maintenance experience required.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to operate lawn equipment.
- Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
- Good safety habits.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
