The Entrepreneurship Center Director is responsible for leading a specialized team in providing business operations support, marketing assistance and access to capital to aspiring and existing small business owners in the Merrimack Valley.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead and oversee all operational components of the E-Center - including staff performance (hiring, supervision, and training/professional development), budget management, reporting, and direct client service delivery.

2. Oversight of the E-Center's SBA Intermediary Microloan program, as well as other lending products as they become available. Oversight responsibilities include: marketing and promotion of the lending funds to local small businesses, underwriting activities, technical assistance, loan closings, and ongoing maintenance of loan repayments.

3. Lead a team of Technical Assistance Specialists and on-demand consultants, as well as provide direct support and technical assistance to new and established business owners in the areas of business operations, business plan development and implementation, marketing, bookkeeping, municipal licensing and other areas as required.

4. Develop, implement, and monitor organizational goals that insure that the mission of the agency is achieved and advanced.

5. Cultivate the funding necessary to insure the maintenance and growth of the E-Center.

6. Engage with the community through participating on local board/committees, coalitions, and build relationships and collaborations with community partners

7. Develop systems and services to empower BIPOC and Women owned small business in the Community

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3-5 years' experience in leading an organization or program required.
  • 7-10 years' experience in the community development field; microfinance experience a plus.
  • Basic understanding of personal finance issues and current marketplace for financial products and interest in economic community development.
  • Knowledge of microfinance principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle budgetary matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend and work with complex governmental regulations as well as reporting requirements.
  • Experience in program planning, administration and management.
  • Proficient computer skills required in basic computer software and data collection systems.
  • Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends as necessary.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or English/Khmer) a plus.
