Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Secretary I - Facilities Management.

In this role, the successful candidate answers incoming calls to the information Center and assigns them to the appropriate shops expeditiously. Generates work orders for all routine calls, emergency situations, and elevator malfunctions including accurate information as reported in a computerized program. Performs inventory spot checks as requested to ensure the required levels of inventory within the stockroom are maintained. Issues stockroom supplies and records them accurately by linking every item to a work order. Under general supervision, provides support and assists with inventory.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
  • Computer Support
  • Files: Files packing slips, release forms and back order information in alphabetic order.
  • Support Services: Performs support functions to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
  • Training: Assists in training employees in computer system operations and Stockroom procedures.
  • Work/Material Control: Maintains inventory control. Issues materials and supplies to shop personnel as requested. Issues work orders as required. Answers work reception lines and dispatch appropriate shop personnel to work site.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills and strong customer service orientation required. Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and Internet applications required. Light, accurate keyboarding skills required. Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Databases desirable.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $53,415.71 - $53,415.71 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
