Job Summary

Assists the Production Control team with their execution of the MPS (Master Production Schedule). The Material/Part Handler works closely with the Production Control team, the Planning Manager, and Operations to ensure smooth flow of parts through the value stream and delivery schedules are met.




  • Follow standard work for material handling (e.g. receiving, shipping, warehousing)
  • Perform all activities in accordance with safety and quality rules
  • Use adequate equipment (forklift, tow train) to move material
  • Records movements of material in the transactional records systems (e.g. receipt, booking)
  • Make proposals to improve safety, quality, efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical duties to support production control, materials, and manufacturing objectives.
  • Provide inventory control services that include the accurate and efficient processing of paperwork, data entry, delivery, and record keeping.
  • Organize workplace and activities to complete assignments under frequently changing priorities.
  • Storing and stacking materials according to company standards
  • Work closely with Operations teams to understand material requirements and expedite necessary items.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and ensure alignment with production needs.
  • Provide regular updates on order statuses, potential delays, and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor Stock quantity daily in order to avoid stock outs as well as overstocks by adjusting the production schedule if possible or raising the issue with the Master Scheduler or Planning Lead.
  • Monitor availability of raw material / components and escalate as required to Procurement / Master Scheduler.
  • Responsible for MRB incoming/outgoing and moving parts to next operation per instructions.
  • Review and maintain SAP accuracy of orders - materials posting, confirmations completion dates accurate.
  • Provide back-up support for other materials positions or duties as assigned.
  • Travel between Cromwell and Wallingford plants as needed

  • U.S. Citizenshipper ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D Required
