Job Title: Working Leaderman (Pipe)

Location: Lockport, LA

Position Overview: A Pipe Working Leaderman is responsible for directing the workforce in the successful fitting and welding of all piping components on assigned vessels. The ideal candidate must have substantial experience in pipe fitting and welding, be proficient in interpreting construction drawings, and possess strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the workforce in fitting and welding piping components for assigned vessels.
• Interpret standard construction drawings to guide fitting and welding tasks.
• Ensure adherence to welding processes and techniques.
• Maintain familiarity with standard marine practices and general construction specifications.
• Communicate effectively with employees and other supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.
• Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure it meets company and industry standards.
• Focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of the work being performed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of craft-specific experience in fitting and welding piping functions.
• Ability to interpret standard construction drawings.
• Basic knowledge of welding processes and techniques.
• Familiarity with standard marine practices and general construction specifications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with other supervisors.
• Strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of the work.

• Proficiency in pipe fitting and welding techniques.
