HVAC Technician

Shift: Mon-Thurs, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Pay: $29 - $34/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate with the Site Supervisor to assess service needs and supervise subcontractors on site.
• Perform HVAC maintenance, repairs, PM, troubleshooting, and servicing of equipment as required.
• Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, controls, ventilation, chillers, Liebert units, air handling units, VAVs, and associated equipment.
• Keep service reports, refrigerant logs, and equipment records updated in the CMMS system.
• Monitor and adjust building automation systems.
• Address hot and cold area temperature complaints and make necessary adjustments/repairs.
• Assist with corrective maintenance work requests and other general maintenance tasks.
• Support the team in maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC systems, plumbing, and other maintenance issues.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or vocational school education preferred
• 5-7 years of HVAC facility maintenance experience
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Knowledge of chiller operations (reciprocating, rotary screw, air-cooled) and HVAC equipment
• Must have BAS (Building Automation System) experience and knowledge of energy management systems
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (current clearance is a plus)
• EPA-approved CFC certification and Journeyman license preferred
• Experience with Raised Floor AC systems and preventive HVAC maintenance
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• EPA Universal or Mechanical IV HVAC License (must obtain EPA Universal within six months)
• Applicable certifications and licenses
