Schmidt Construction Company part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Paver Operator to work at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The Paver Operator will operate asphalt paver and inspect grade and elevations correctly Pay: $28-35 Shift/Schedule: Full Time Day Job w/ Nights and Weekends as needed Benefits Competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term Disability Tuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programs Student Loan Repayment Program Employee Referral Program Responsibilities The Operator will: Operate an asphalt paving machine and ensure mat is being laid properly Perform daily machine inspections and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling Communicate with office and field personnel Inspect grade and elevations correctly Assisting maintenance personnel with repairs Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Skills The ideal candidate will have: Minimum 3-5 years mainline paving experience Ability to operate a paver Knowledge of materials Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time Work outside for an extended period of time Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and other departments Ability to read and write Valid CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one To Apply Please submit your resume.
