JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible to collect, prepare, test, analyze, and document samples in order to determine content and characteristics. Test samples using laboratory apparatus and testing equipment and then entering findings on cloud-based database.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Learn how to batch concrete and asphalt loads according to specifications.
  2. Learn how to collect, prepare, analyze, and document samples in order to determine content and characteristics.
  3. Learn how to estimate costs, solicit bids, create schedules.
  4. Explore other areas of interest to learn more about the general operations of the division both within and outside of the assigned department that will be supplemental to the learning experience.
  5. Provide basic administrative support, assist other supervisors as directed, and help with special projects as needed.
  6. Conduct testing of Company's products from various locations according to ASTM standards and/or State specifications.
  7. Must be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
  8. Ability to multitask.
  9. Must be able to work varied hours.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. Must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university seeking a degree in a related field.
  3. General knowledge of construction operations and procedures.
  4. Valid driver's license.
