Department Summary Mission Position Overview As part of the Department of Academic Advising and Student Success, this position is responsible for the coordination and administration of advising services of an assigned college or area. The position manages departmental processes and functions as advising office resource expert for more complex advising issues. This position also collaborates and assists in the development and implementation of assigned departmental projects and educational programs, exercising considerable initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned duties. Supervises and participates in the day-to-day operations of the Academic Advising Center ensuring that all "customers," both internal and external, have the best academic advising experience. This is done through consistent, exceptional customer service, development of the academic advisors plus peer advisors and Academic Advising & Student Success Leadership Team, and the maintaining of the Academic Advising Center visual standards as well as compliance with established policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree and 5 years' of experience in student affairs, student services, counseling, or professional academic advising. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Thorough knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate) Preferred Qualifications - Master's Degree in a related field.
