uada.edu Summary of Job Duties:The Business Planning and Reporting Manager provides leadership in developing, implementing, and managing entity, operating unit, and departmental budgets and performs a variety of management reporting responsibilities in coordination with finance and executive leadership. This leadership includes playing an active role in assuring executive leaders are informed during all phases of the budget cycle and are equipped with the tools, reports, and information needed to make sound business decisions.

The Business Planning and Reporting Manager will take responsibility for developing significant portions of the entity-level budget as assigned, will be accountable for ensuring the budgets developed are accurate and complete, and will serve as the primary liaison to executive leaders in all aspects of the budget development, management, and monitoring process under the direction of the Senior Director of Business Planning and Intelligence. The Business Planning and Reporting Manager may perform specific accounting duties and lead specialized reporting or other special projects as assigned. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education.

  • At least three (3) years of experience in business management, accounting, finance, or a related field, with at least one (1) of those years in a supervisory or financial/program management capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related area from an accredited institution of higher education.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or similar professional designation.

  • Previous experience in development of budgets.

  • Previous experience with a state-supported institution of higher education in Arkansas.

  • Experience with Workday.

  • Experience with Anaplan.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively alone as well as with a team.

  • Ability to prepare and present oral and written reports to both internal and external personnel.

  • Ability to interpret and apply laws in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP).

  • Ability to apply an ethical code and good judgment, and to handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity and discretion.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to be punctual and dependable.
