POSITION SUMMARY:

We at 3rdEye are continuing to expand our development team and we are looking for Quality Assurance Engineer II, who has the talent, energy, and drive to work in a co-located collaborative agile environment and has experience making quality a successful part of a cross-functional team. This position will focus on our telematic device that feeds our web-based software solution (https://www.3rdeyecam.com/fleet-management-systems) with event driven data reports that includes video and audio stream, critical data points such as GPS and multiple vehicle signals originating from thousands of vehicles/devices running across the US..

This position is responsible for helping create and execute test plans for various software projects. Collaborates with the team to ensure the delivery of reliable and error-free software throughout the software development process. Evaluates new software and modifications to existing applications, contributing to the overall quality of projects by leveraging an understanding of business requirements and system structure. Increase quality, speed to release, and the cost-effectiveness of our products by building automation testing into our engineering practice.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Execute manual and automate test cases based on the business requirements, user stories and technical specifications.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and documenting test plans for front-end and back-end cloud applications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to define functional/non-functional testcases based on user stories.
  • Write automated testing scripts that are simple to understand, flexible to modify and intuitive to implement.
  • Implement, monitor, and report on key metrics (i.e., quality, coverage, defect-rate, performance, etc.).
  • Learn emerging tools and methodologies to reduce manual testing effort.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or TestRail
  • Collaborate with onsite and offshore teams to ensure alignment on testing priorities and issue resolutions.
  • Minimal travel may be needed up to 10%.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; relevant experience can be substituted for educational degree.
  • 4+ years' experience in multiple testing techniques (i.e., functional, regression, integration, smoke, performance, exploratory).
  • 1+ years in-depth experience writing and executing automated tests from software requirements for Web UI/API.
  • Experience in iterative development and scrum rituals (i.e., sprint planning, estimation, backlog grooming).
  • Experience with QA Test Tools and Frameworks (i.e., Selenium, Cucumber, or otherwise).
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as (Java, Python).
  • Experience in testing and deployment with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment environments.
  • Good to have knowledge working with AWS cloud
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
