Junior - Mid Level Entertainment Associate

The Century City (Los Angeles) Office is seeking a Junior/Mid-Level associate to join its dynamic, growing, and fast-paced Chambers Band-1 Entertainment & Media practice group. This role primarily will support the Music Industry practice. You will be joining a cutting-edge practice that represents clients across the music and entertainment landscape, including, global entertainment, music and media companies, social media platforms, live event companies, institutional and private financiers, and creative talent.

You should have at least 3 years of transactional music and entertainment experience at a large law firm, preferably on music/entertainment M&A matters. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and

  • is a self-starter who can work independently;
  • is a confident and articulate communicator;
  • is organized and detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage a diverse workload;
  • has a deep understanding of the business and legal issues related to the music industry;
  • has proficiency in copyright law, the rights profile of music assets, the distribution and administration of music assets, and the various revenue streams derived from exploitation; and
  • is in good standing with the CA Bar.
The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $235,000 and a maximum of $410,000 (annually). The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
