Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our Material Handler team. This role will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing facility's smooth and efficient operation by managing the flow of materials, components, and supplies within a manufacturing facility. A Material Handler works with a team to ensure timely receiving, storing, and distributing materials and maintaining accurate inventory records while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, a team player, a great communicator, and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities:
* Transfer incoming parts from Receiving to the warehouse and assembly lines. Relocate parts from one department to another. Maintain effective communication with various departments, including Production, Procurement, and Quality Control, to ensure the availability of materials as needed. Replenish the lines to help maintain the required TAKT time for the cell. Assign and move parts to accurate locations both physically and in JD Edwards. Pre-draw components for work order completion. Assist the support process improvement activities through active participation in continuous improvement. Help process MRB related non-conformances. Verify intermittent counts of part receipts. Cycle count - based on ABC rules. Verify non-inventory "bulk" items and have bins marked. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily and monthly targets.
* Load, unload and move materials throughout the plant using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as required. Inspect materials for quality and quantity. Report any discrepancies or damages. Prepare materials for outbound shipments, ensure proper packaging and documentation.
* Track inventory levels and report shortages. Maintain accurate records of materials in stock and their locations. Complete production logs, work orders, and other required paperwork accurately. Document any issues, defects, or deviations from standard procedures. Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring they are appropriately labelled and easily accessible. Issue materials to production teams or other departments as per requisitions, ensuring that the correct quantities are provided promptly. Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to manage inventory.
* Conduct routine maintenance on material handling equipment, such as forklifts, to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions.
* Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications. Perform quality checks by established quality procedures and ISO requirements. Identify and report defects or issues in the assembly process and necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure product quality.
* Participate in training programs to improve maintenance skills and product knowledge. Obtain and maintain IR certification/license for harness and equipment (forklift, scissors, and boom lift). Attend monthly EHS trainings. Follow all policies and procedures (i.e. report on time and ready to work - Start/Lunch/Breaks)
* Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly. Follow 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). Test PSI limit no greater than 30,000. Lift a maximum of 35 lbs for an individual and 70 lbs for a team lift.

Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED
* 1+ years' experience in manufacturing or distribution industry

Core Competencies:
* Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally with hoist to be used on objects over 40 pounds.
* Standing: Standing is required in periods of up to three hours at a time.
* Stooping: Would be required to lift objects off pallets
* Hand Dexterity: Must be able to work with hand tools, screws and gauges, as well as operating buttons on controls.
* Verbal Communication: Must be capable of clear communication between co-workers and supervisor.
* Carrying: Capable of carrying 40 pounds for a distance of up to 25 feet.

Preferences:
* Knowledge of inventory processes.
* Process driven and systematic in their approach to completing their work
* Ability to identify and solve problems.
* Ability to pass certification for Powered Industrial Vehicle license.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
This position will be based at our site in Ivyland, PA no travel.
