SRNL's Materials Science and Disposition group is seeking a qualified Corrosion Scientist/Engineer to grow the laboratory's portfolio in the areas of materials sciences, materials development for the immobilization of nuclear wastes, and the upcycling of non-nuclear waste types. Successful candidates would have a Ph.D. in a chemical and/or materials related field, demonstrated ability to design and carry out research to leverage new technologies, materials corrosion and performance evaluation, and phenomena, and demonstrated ability to apply and interpret scientific or engineering laws and theories to solve general problems. The role will involve consistent focus in application of research for technologies or products and development of new solutions. Field of Study/Capabilities include but not limited to chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science/engineering, physics and related science or engineering disciplines.
