The Job at a Glance

The Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (internally known as Captain Crunch... the Numbers) will be responsible for working with business unit leaders on strategic initiatives, analyzing and reporting on financial results, partnering with Analytics to support the commercial and operations teams, and supporting various accounting and business process improvements and innovations. As the leader of the FP&A team, the senior director will play a key role in Parts Town's annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes. The senior director will lead the team's ad-hoc financial modeling and financial performance analysis. Partnering with senior leadership to align with and deliver reporting and analyses on key metrics will be an essential part of the role. The senior director will be responsible for growing and developing the FP&A team. You will use your experience to identify and implement process improvements to reduce the time needed to report monthly financial results and ensure consistent and accurate reporting across the business.

A Typical Day

  • Developing and reviewing models for key initiatives and growth opportunities.
  • Meeting with senior leaders to review financial results, discuss upcoming opportunities and create forward-looking forecasts.
  • Working with FP&A team members to generate and distribute financial reporting
  • Reporting on key metrics and other key ratios according to the strategic pillars as defined by Parts Town
  • Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes for modeling, financial reporting, and results analysis.
  • Providing oversight and guidance to FP&A team members

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have a minimum of 10 years of Finance or Accounting management experience
  • If you have Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, it's a plus
  • You possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal and are able to share and present challenging financial information to non-financial audiences.
  • You have the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • You are an analytical and strategic thinker who doesn't mind diving into the details.
  • You have strong excel and ERP experience; experience with data mining/analyzing tools is a plus.
  • You enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and are effective at managing multiple priorities.
  • Bonus points if you have distribution or manufacturing experience with an inventory-based business

The salary range for this role is $158,270.00- $234,416.00 annually which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) with match, employee assistance programs, paid time off, paid sick time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and professional development opportunities.
