Job Description Director, Market Access Strategy, T1D Location: Boston, MA (3 days onsite, 2 days remote weekly) General Summary: Vertex currently operates at the forefront of rare disease scientific innovation and has successfully developed and commercialized multiple breakthrough medicines for Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Sickle Cell Disease and Transfusion-Dependent Beta Thalassemia. In addition to clinical development programs in CF, Vertex has more than a dozen ongoing research programs focused on the underlying mechanisms of other serious diseases including programs in Pain, Type 1 diabetes, IgA Nephropathy (IgAN), APOL-1 Mediated Kidney Disease, and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, among others. The Director, Market Access Strategy - T1D (VX-880) is accountable for leading and overseeing the development of Market Access (MA) strategies, tactical support programs and overall execution of access resources across all channels for the commercialization of VX-880. This role requires a significant degree of collaboration, influencing and driving strategic alignment across multiple functions (Account Management, Trade, Pricing & Contracting, US Public Affairs, HEOR, New Product Planning, Global Value & Access Strategy (GVAS), and Marketing). A few core elements include the development of the value proposition and Pre-approval Information Exchanges (PIE) resources.
