Job Title: Network Project Manager

Location(s): Alpharetta, GA

Job Duties:

This person will act as a coordinator on 911 projects with a national scope and policy. This person will also work with the two Territory Project Managers to support different projects requiring project management expertise including PSAP migrations to NG911 networks, and PSAP migrations from TDM to Basic SIP or SIP i3. This will also require management of installation of required facilities, numbering resources, PSAP test requirements and test vendor management.

Must Have Skills:


  • Have a minimum of 7 years of wireless network experience.
  • Have at least 5 years of working as project manager or on a job that requires some project management.
  • Provide technical support, engineering and project management functions required to develop and implement large and complex network plans.
  • Have ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Identify technical processes and procedures required to accomplish projects accurately and timely.
  • Have ability to work closely with other network teams and vendors on completion of each project according to procedures and applicable Statements of Work.
  • Work with Test Vendor(s) to define test plan and priorities and to provide any necessary training and test procedures.
  • Have ability identify issue, research and manage appropriate resources to determine root cause and issue resolution.
  • Provide Territory Project Managers and management with updates on key milestones and network performance metrics.
  • Be highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excel spreadsheet expertise.


Desired Skills:


  • Have worked on projects that require cross functional team effort with various wireless network teams including Translations, Transport, Network Operations and Numbering Administration.
  • Have experience with wireless 911 including test vendor management, technology migration and location accuracy performance.


Education:


  • College Degree or equivalent technical work experience.
