Regional Sales Manager - Florida

Street Smart continues growing at an accelerated pace due to the Street Smart Way of doing business and expanding into growing markets. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and growth-oriented person to join our team as the Regional Sales Manager, for the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States. This position is an exempt, full-time role with flexible hours, and reports to the Director of Sales. Overnight and out-state travel is required (expected to be up to 12 days per month to start, then reducing as the territory is developed).

This is a remote position located in Florida, with a preference for candidates near Jacksonville or Orlando.

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within a specific geographic region. This role focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with key customers, identifying new business opportunities, and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed targets. The Regional Sales Manager works independently to manage their territory, ensuring customer satisfaction, negotiating contracts, and delivering presentations to potential clients.

Some of the key responsibilities include:




  • Responsible for all sales and marketing activities within territory. Business is B2B sales to: general contractors, traffic safety contractors, public works departments, cities, counties, state DOT, etc.



  • Develop annual business plan detailing activities to follow during the fiscal year focused on sales and marketing efforts to meet or exceed quota



  • Work with Regional Estimating Manager (REM) to optimize revenue and new customer acquisition



  • Use company CRM (Salesforce), to develop and manage database of qualified leads



  • Responsible for sourcing and developing customer relationships by using referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face, cold calling, direct mail, email, social media and networking to find new business opportunities



  • Support regional operations including in field delivery, deployments, and support



  • Complete daily/weekly sales call activity report



  • Effectively manage on-going customer relations



  • Attend industry trade shows (possibly out of state), and display/ demonstrate products to potential customers



  • On-site and remote group presentations, discussing and demonstrating the products to potential customers



  • Oversees the negotiation of client contracts and work agreements



  • Overnight and out-state travel is required (Expected to be 5-10 days per month)



  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications




  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent





  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years' B2B sales experience





  • Valid drivers license and ability to qualify for a DOT medical card to drive a ton pickup truck while towing a trailer (considered a Commercial Motor Vehicle)





  • Computer skills and proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office, Google and Salesforce products.





Physical and Mental Demands

The RSM is predominantly an office-based role, but may at times require assisting with the transportation, setup and deployment of equipment. The primary physical and mental demands include:




  • Remains in a stationary position (sitting or standing) 50% of the time.





  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a scanner, copy machine and printer.





  • Communicates with others in their area of expertise, both internally and externally. Exchanges accurate information in these situations.





  • Frequently moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds typically, but at times up to 50 lbs.





  • Occasionally, the individual in this position will need to stand, reach, bend, stoop, and kneel.





  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include normal vision.





  • The office environment will have normal lighting and climate control tolerances.





  • Additionally, the office setting will have moderate noise exposure, i.e. business office with computers, printers, and light traffic.





  • Travel conditions may involve being in an aircraft or automobile for extended periods of time.





  • Work is performed mostly in a home office at a minimum of 40 hours a week.
