Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a Global TIC business.

Salary: $25-28/hour +$1.00 Shift Differential



Responsibilities

    Conduct Fatigue Crack Growth testing on material recieve by customer
  • Report writing, data interpretation and analysis need to be completed with the highest level of accuracy in response to the test completed on the customer material
  • Interpretation of internal and client requirements stated on the POs to ensure we are meeting the customer crtieria for test specification
  • Operating complex mechanical testing equipment
  • Application of instrumentation and the setting up of complex data capture equipment
  • Performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system
  • Performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory


Skills / Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required. Some college experience is a plus.
  • 1 year minimum experience in a testing lab is preferred.
  • An understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial
  • Self motivated Technician with the ability to multi task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A team player attitude
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
