The Kentucky gigafactory in Bowling Green will supply Mercedes-Benz with high-performance battery cell modules. The South Carolina gigafactory in Florence will supply technology-leading battery cells for new electric models produced in BMW Group's Spartanburg plant. About the Role

As a Program Manager, Planning and Analytics within the Project Controls execution team, will be key in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of our EV and ESS gigafactory construction projects. This role demands a high level of expertise in project controls, including scheduling, risk management, and progress tracking. Working closely with cross-functional teams-including engineering, procurement, and construction, you will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You Will Do

The candidate should present adequate proficiency in the following two aspects:

  • Schedule management
  • Oversee the planning and execution of the integrated master schedule, ensuring all project plans, requirements, status reports, risk assessments, and post-project evaluations are effectively managed.
  • Collaborate with the project planner and area leads to develop schedule mitigation strategies, monitor critical tasks, analyze risks, and provide timely solutions for high-risk areas.
  • Lead SCRUM initiatives, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, while maintaining a KANBAN board to enhance transparency and track necessary adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain standardized senior leadership delivery schedule templates, incorporating key milestones.
  • Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to align with the established roadmap and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Gather cross-functional requirements for scheduling solutions and define a strategic roadmap to support project operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in planning and analytics workflows, applying best practices for reporting and forecasting.
  • The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, manages ambiguity with confidence, and drives clarity in complex situations.
  • Risk management
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of impediments, blockers, and risks to the project plan
  • Conduct routine SWOT analyses, proactively identifying risks and recommending strategic mitigation plans and scenarios
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What You Need
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field is required.
  • Certifications in planning, scheduling, and project management are highly recommended (e.g., PMP, PSP, or similar).
  • +10 years of CAPEX project management experience, focusing on planning/scheduling and change management, ideally within Automotive or High-tech industries.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional programs
  • Exhibit extensive experience in schedule setup, baselining, monitoring, and controlling of resource loaded programs on large-scale projects across all phases.
  • Proficient analytical skills for interpreting data, and comprehensive understanding of technical and legal materials
  • Demonstrated innovation and attention to detail, particularly in managing highly visible or controversial projects
  • Expert proficiency in software systems and packages including Primavera P6, Bluebeam, CAD, SAP, PowerBI, and Microsoft Suite
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards. (training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic.
