JOB SUMMARY

Cresco Labs is seeking a dynamic Sr. Project Manager, Operations, to lead cross-functional teams in managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role will involve overseeing key stages of product discovery, R&D, feasibility, and commercialization. You will serve as the central point of coordination across multiple departments, ensuring alignment and smooth communication from concept to market launch. This position offers the unique opportunity to drive operational efficiency while managing critical timelines, milestones, and deliverables. As a key player in the commercialization process, you'll lead project management for operations and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, keeping all parties informed and working together to make data-driven decisions that propel our products to market.

CORE JOB DUTIES



  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between Product Development, marketing, operations, quality, compliance and other relevant departments, ensuring alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables throughout the product development and product execution lifecycle.


  • Discovery & R&D Management: Lead the planning of product discovery and R&D phases, ensuring that key research, testing, and feasibility studies are completed on time and within scope.


  • Feasibility & Planning: Manage the feasibility stage, collaborating with technical and business teams to assess the practicality and market potential of proposed products, ensuring realistic timelines and resource allocation.


  • Timeline & Milestone Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking key milestones and deliverables. Ensure all teams adhere to timelines and adjust as necessary to mitigate risks or delays.


  • Operational Checklists: Create and maintain comprehensive operational checklists to ensure that all steps in the product development process are completed on schedule and with the necessary attention to detail.


  • Commercialization Preparation: Oversee the transition from product development to commercialization, ensuring all operational and logistical steps are accounted for and executed properly for a successful product launch.


  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update senior leadership and stakeholders on project status, risks, and timelines, providing transparent and accurate reports to ensure informed decision-making.


  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and roadblocks across different phases of product development and work with teams to mitigate them before they impact the project's success.


  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the product development and commercialization process, implementing best practices and driving efficiencies across teams.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Product Development, or a related field (Master's preferred).


  • 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional product development projects.


  • Strong background in product discovery, R&D, feasibility studies, and commercialization processes.


  • Proven track record of managing product timelines, budgets, and operational checklists in a dynamic environment.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and align cross-functional teams.


  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and challenges.


  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and software for documentation and reporting strongly preferred.


  • Knowledge of product development lifecycle and commercialization process in a fast-paced industry.


  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.


  • Experience working in a publicly traded or private cannabis company


  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.

In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the compensation listed is the current estimated range for the position. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Pay Range
$110,000 $130,000 USD
