What You'll Do

As a Dispatcher / CDL Driver, you will engage with customers and customers facing employees to schedule and document product deliveries to customers and the transport of goods between facilities. You will fulfill duties as a CDL Driver / MPU Operator as needed while providing oversight to daily operations of drivers and operators. Other duties include:

  • Commit to establishing an in-depth understanding of the site's business cycle and vocabulary.
  • Recognize the contributions of subject's duties and how they will impact the company's ability to deliver on its promises to customers, employees and investors.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety processes and performance standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
  • Directs the daily assignment of drivers and truck fleet through dispatch, route, and equipment usage planning.
  • Provides accurate and timely documentation for shipping and receiving of goods.
  • Ensures compliance to ATF regulatory law and ensures accurate inventory of explosives.
  • In the absence of the Transportation manager will act as the liaison for intercompany communication to the transportation team
  • Demonstrates effective leadership behaviours and works toward resolution of any conflicts.
  • Maintains maintenance standards and regulatory compliance in collaboration with Maintenance Manager, including records and vehicle inspection reports per DOT requirements.
  • Represents the company in dealing with retail customers.
  • In coordination with the transportation manager lead and document daily safety meetings
  • In conjunction with transportation manager, provide or schedules mandatory training for drivers, recording completion and assisting to evaluate for competency and proficiency. Mandatory training includes applicable DOT, FMCSR, MSHA regulations, technical modules, SOPs, work instructions and safety policies and procedures.
  • Takes action to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Ability to work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Proactively manage safety issues and practice Take 5! process by using the HAT tool to promote personal responsibility for safety.

What We're Looking For:

  • 4+ years of related experience
  • CDL Class A required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead manage and influence people.
  • Highly organized with proven problem solving, scheduling, and planning experience.
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Prepared to work early AM shifts, outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player

Annual Salary Range*: $65,000 - $80,000

*Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. The salary range is Dyno Nobel's good faith belief at the time of this posting.
