THE ROLE

The House Attendant reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager. As a vital part of the housekeeping team, you'll assist by providing housekeepers with the necessary items to clean guest rooms and help stock carts. Your responsibilities will also include more physically demanding tasks, such as flipping mattresses, hanging pictures, and moving furniture or debris.
You'll work closely with hotel supervisors to ensure that all room accessories and electronics are in working order. Additionally, you'll ensure that exterior areas, such as the rooftop and front entrance, are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

* Provide Housekeeping Support: Assist housekeepers by stocking carts and helping with cleaning tasks.
* Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure hallways, floors, and doorways are clean and clear. Dispose of trash and debris properly.
* Stay on Top of Inventory: Help restock housekeeping supplies and maintain equipment, ensuring all electronics and accessories are in good working order.
* Support the Team: Collaborate with housekeepers and supervisors to make sure every task gets completed efficiently.
* Help Maintain Hotel Spaces: Ensure common areas like the lobby, rooftop, and front entrance are tidy, welcoming, and functional.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

* Previous work experience within housekeeping.
* A flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as events do not only occur during the week.
* A passion for cleanliness, with an initiative to learn and pride in serving others.
* Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and requirements.
* Conversational proficiency in English to effectively receive and execute verbal and written communication and directions.
* Adaptable interpersonal communication skills to interact with employees at all levels of the hotel.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods, especially during high-volume business periods.
* Ability to lift, balance, and carry up to 25 lbs to transport carts, cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment.
* Ability to lift, balance, and carry (with assistance) up to 100 lbs to transport mattresses, inventory, equipment, etc.
* Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods to clean and organize guest rooms, spaces, storage, and equipment
