This individual will be required to procure, plan, schedule, and monitor inbound material, movement of materials from suppliers to ensure operational success. Determine material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering. Develop specifications for new contract orders. Execute bid process, purchase order placement and management of supplier performance.



Major Position Responsibilities

    Develops and executes material planning strategy for production schedules.
  • Evaluates inventory levels and collaborates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials to manufacture products.
  • Resolves and takes corrective action for complex materials issues impacting production schedules while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.
  • Analyzes, plans, schedules, and drives procurement actions.
  • Ensures materials are cost effective.
  • Determines and ensures the quality of materials.
  • Executes material that required outside processing.


Basic Qualifications

  • Required Education and Experience: Associate's Degree and 10-12 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/ or Experience
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Business Administration or Supply Chain Management degree preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Problem-solving skills. Computer skills. Planning skills. Leadership skills.
  • Critical Professional Related Technical Skills; Computer Skills: Proficient with use of Microsoft Office
