Job Duties
Working with the Football Operations staff and reporting to the Head Football Coach, the individual serving in this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Coordinate the daily prospective student-athlete recruiting operational and logistical processes within East Carolina University Football Program.
- Plan and execute a twelve month vision of recruiting calendar including mail, video, and graphics.
- Identify, evaluate, and collect and organize data on prospective student athletes to be distributed in list to the Head Coach, nine assistants and the graduate assistants.
- Monitor the number of contacts and evaluations conducted by the coaching staff and work with ECU NCAA compliance staff to ensure that records are consistent and NCAA compliant.
- Oversee preliminary academic evaluations of prospective student-athletes.
- Responsible for organizing ECU Football Coaches Clinic (advertising, brochures, fliers, schedule, etc.)
- Works with compliance to get an official evaluation of prospect academic performance and makes sure that proper documentation is provided to the NCAA Eligibility Center.
- Supervise planning and coordinating of official and unofficial visits of prospective student-athletes to campus (itineraries, travel, hotel, hosts, meals, name tags, seating charts, compliance paperwork, etc.)
- Supervise Director of Scouting, Director of On Campus Recruiting, and student workers for recruiting.
- Coordinate administration of football walk-on program.
- Perform duties with professional conduct representing the university and athletics department and provide leadership cultivating an environment of compliance, performance excellence, respect, and student-athlete well-being.
- Comply with all applicable laws, policies, by-laws, regulations, procedures and guidelines of North Carolina, University of North Carolina system, East Carolina University, the Department of Athletics, the National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations.
- Build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with athletics, Pirate Club, and University staff, students, and all constituents and stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Head Football Coach.
Minimum Education/Experience
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and previous experience coaching at the high school, college or professional level.

Qualifying degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions and conferred by the time of hire.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Experience with Hudl Recruit Software preferred.
Experience with Photoshop preferred.
Experience with College War Room or a similar recruiting database preferred.
