About This Role

The Human Resources Analyst position oversees HR and payroll functions for seven departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. The incumbent serves as the main contact for HR policy inquiries from directors and supervisors, facilitates recruitment, processes personnel paperwork, and manages time and leave. Additionally, the role acts as a liaison with the Dean's office, Business Office, Division of Human Resources Services, and other campus departments.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of the terminology, principles and procedures of human resource management.
  • Knowledge of the federal laws applicable to a comprehensive human resource program as well as state laws, rules and regulations applicable to human resource functions.
  • Knowledge of the K-State policies and procedures regarding human resource functions.
  • Ability to plan, analyzes details, develop and formulate recommendations for implementation of human resource processes and functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to work independently and make sound independent decisions.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Experience in human resources for higher education.


Other Requirements:



  • Ability to become a Notary soon after hire.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
