Position: Family Support Services Intern Department: FSS Reports To: Clinical Program Manager, FSS Supervisors *THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP About DABSJ: D.A. Blodgett - St. John's is a private non-sectarian agency that serves vulnerable children and families from the entire community. Our core objectives are to strengthen families, help children heal from abuse and neglect, provide homes and help kids thrive. About this Opportunity: The Family Support Services Intern will work under the direct supervision of FSS Supports Coordinators and FSS Supervisors providing supports coordination services to children ages 0-17 with developmental disabilities. The FSS intern will work with FSS team members to identify client needs then create and monitor these plans. In addition, the intern will help coordinate and link clients and their families to helpful resources to such as therapies, school supports, medical care, mental health care, etc. The FSS intern will also research resources and create assistive materials to help the client meet identified needs. Would you like to help us accomplish our mission as an Intern? Our ideal candidate will be working towards a Bachelors degree in Social Work or a related field. Ability to work a flexible schedule on weekdays, including some evenings. Ability to learn electronic record-keeping and utilize technology for client contact.
