About the Great Plaines ADA Center:

The Great Plains ADA Center provides information, guidance and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act and related laws to our service region (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska). Our services are designed to meet the needs of a wide range of users, from individuals with disabilities and their families, to architects, building code officials, educators, state and local governments, and businesses. The Great Plains ADA Center, part of the ADA National Network, is one of ten regional ADA Centers that provide technical assistance, training, and information on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

We combine expertise in ADA guidelines and regulations with years of hands-on experience to provide services that are effective, targeted, and user-friendly. We provide regional and national trainings both virtually and in person, as well as thorough technical assistance, outreach, and knowledge translation supports to all stakeholders.

About the role:

The University of Missouri, College of Arts & Science, is seeking a Senior Program/Project Support Coordinator to play a key role in advancing the Great Plains ADA Center's mission. This position is responsible for providing virtual and in-person training, technical assistance, and event coordination related to ADA compliance. This position coordinates support functions for academic program(s) or project(s) to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications. It will also support data management, team capacity-building, and national ADA initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Great Plains ADA Center Liaison to Missouri and Kansas
  • Provide virtual and in-person training and technical assistance to stakeholders on all titles of the Americans with Disabilities Act and related civil rights legislation in Missouri and Kansas
  • Coordinate Center for Independent Living Americans with Disabilities Act (CIL-ADA) Workshops, State ADA Coordinator Training Days, and other supports and events for Regional Network Partners
  • Provide training and support to GPADA Technical Assistance Staff to develop team capacity for TA provision across the breadth of the ADA Regulations and Standards
  • Coordinate GP ADA Center National OMS-Database data entry, management, and reporting responsibilities to the ADA National Network Knowledge Translation (ADANN KT) Center
  • Represent the Center on ADA National Network Committees as designated by Director
  • Support Director in meeting other goals related to the current grant cycle
Shift

Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.

Remote work arrangements may be considered for qualified candidates within our service region. Occasional travel for in-person training and events may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ADA Coordinator Certification Training Program (ACTCP) Certification
  • Strong command of Americans with Disabilities Act Regulations and Standards
  • 2+ years in ADA-related training or operations role
  • Strong organization skills
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875.20 - $73,008.00 annually

Grade: GGS 010
