Maintenance Lift Trucks

Job Summary:

• The purpose of the Maintenance Lift Truck is for the repair and preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure optimum equipment operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to equipment
• Repair mechanical failures and problems as needed
• Clean and inspect repaired equipment before releasing to production
• Assist in Battery changes
• Clean assigned work area at the end of each shift
• Maintain and use tools of the job properly

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

• Lifting is required of machinery and parts weighing 1 to 250 pounds.
• Standing is required approximately 7 hours per shift.
• Reaching is required of machinery and parts approximately 100 times per shift.
• Stooping is required 4 times per shift for 1 hour and 50 minutes per stoop.
• Bending is required approximately 40 times per shift for machinery and parts.
• Must use wrenches approximately 40 times per shift.
• Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.

Experience/Education Requirements:

• Previous Mechanic experience in manufacturing or industry-related field preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Sufficient technical knowledge of equipment

Other Requirements:

• Overtime is required on occasion.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.
