Job Title: Loan Flood Specialist Physical Location: 2778 West Jackson Street, Building C, Tupelo MS 38803 Reports To: Loan Operations Department Supervisor Working Conditions: Normal, no adverse or hazardous conditions Compensation: Hourly Job Grade: 18 Job Group Category: Non-Exempt Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Primary Purpose: (Summary of major reason this job exists) Flood Specialists are members of the Central Loan Operations Servicing area and are responsible for assisting with the day-to-day servicing and monitoring of properties that are located in a special flood hazard area. The Flood Specialists will also be responsible for assisting the branch personnel and other areas of the bank with any flood related questions and issues. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Provide administrative and/or operational support within or more of the following loan areas: Pre Closing, Post Closing, or Servicing. Work with Lending Staff in resolving flood discrepancies Perform flood insurance calculations Review loan documentation and various systems to insure compliance with the flood regulation. Maintain knowledge of the flood and escrow requirements pursuant to loan policy and federal regulations Review Private Flood Policies to comply with the Private Flood Insurance Rule Collaborate with management and various vendors to resolve flood discrepancies Work with Quality Control to insure controls are in place Understand and follow general loan policy Work with Management and other departments to implement procedures, processes, and controls when regulation changes. Job Specifications: (Knowledge, skills, and abilities normally required for competent performance in the job) High School Diploma Preferred College degree or applicable work experience Good organizational and analytical skills Detail Oriented Understanding of loan products and functionality Professional written and oral communication skills. Ability to complete processes and meet deadlines Basic knowledge of lending processes and procedures and loan documentation Ability to operate standard computer and office equipment Ability to adapt to changing environments as workflow is adjusted for regulatory and workflow changes General knowledge surrounding escrow and insurance preferred Disclaimer The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
