Shop Helper

Position Purpose: To provide a wide variety of shop and tool control support to construction projects

Essential Responsibilities

* Perform minor vehicle repairs and inspections

* Make sure tools in warehouse are organized and well maintained

* Pick up parts from vendors

* Deliver parts/ vehicles to job sites

* Maintain cleanliness of vehicles including detailing company trucks and power washing equipment

* Performs routine organizing, cleaning, maintaining and other general laborer responsibilities for the warehouse/building

* Perform Warehouse work such as unloading and loading trucks, stocking shelves, operating a Forklift and Front-End Loader

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Welding Skills Preferred

* Strong mechanical aptitude

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

* Ability to operate Front End Loader & Forklift

* Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record

* Demonstrate multi-tasking and organizational skills

* Ability to communicate effectively, show initiative, and fit into a team environment

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or Equivalent

* 1-3 years of warehousing, construction, general laborer and/or mechanics experience preferred

Work Environment

* Must be able to remain standing approximately 75% of the time

* Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, reaching

* Noise level may be loud at times

* The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

* Occasionally lifting 50 pounds
