Overview Element has an opportunity for a CME Project Engineer within our Aerospace & Defense business unit. The primary function of the Project Engineer is to generate and maintain a customer/project portfolio including managing projects, staff, and budgets relating to Construction Materials Testing. Team building and peer review to the current engineering staff. Providing leadership and support to the technical staff is essential. Strong focus on Soils laboratory and testing support for Construction market. Responsibilities *Generate and maintain customer/project portfolio and Client base.*Communicate with architects, engineers, and contractors to determine essential details of requested inspection services and/or tests on construction materials projects. *Provide proposals and cost information to Clients.*Conduct engineering investigations and prepare formal interpretive reports for Clients on findings. *Prepare project set-up sheets for scheduling and assignment of work.*Mentor and aid with supervising junior CME Engineers and Technicians working on CME projects.*Recommend changes in policy or procedure to improve department efficiency and/or Client services. *Initiate special work permits in compliance with Clients' requirements.*Aid with geotechnical investigations and preparing professional reports. Skills / Qualifications * 5+ years related experience in construction materials testing and inspection services.
