401k & Company Match Position Summary: The Global Director of Research and Development is the technical reference on "Wholesome Grains" technological platforms for the whole Grupo Bimbo (GB), developing new technologies, supporting the businesses on technical issues and working with external partners to develop the best grains and flours (cereals) for GBs recipe. May include varieties evaluation to the define those that achieve better functionality and performance in our products. Key Job Responsibilities:
- Lead data-driven research to enhance product performance, nutrition, and clean labeling by developing innovative technologies and disruptive solutions based on scientifically rigorous, data-centric execution. This includes new developments of methodologies, standards, ingredients, and their processing technologies.
- Conceptualize, develop plans and proposals, and manage project execution and communication internally and externally.
- Gather technological needs and requests from BU's to fulfill them
- Hand over innovative qualified technologies to the application team - focusing on its platforms
- Deliver on projects and commitments, and measure the effectiveness of the solutions and proposals Deliver on projects and commitments, and measure the effectiveness of the solutions and proposals
- Guarantee the delivery of projects in accordance with BU/GR&A agreement, plans and timeline
- Ensure that the projects and protocols follows GB's guidelines, regulatory, nutritional and safety frameworks
- Develop, activate the technological external ecosystem
- Onboarding to become familiar with the platform priorities, ecosystem, and way of working.
- Plan and implement innovations and execute on projects in a H 1,2,3 framework, validated within GR&D
- Built excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver on projects and commitments, and measure the effectiveness of the solutions and proposals
- Develop and implement technologies for the BUs, transferring technologies should be done properly with the Tech. Transfer Teams within GR&D
- Develop and obtain agreements on annual business plans for a function or business area, ensuring alignment with strategy; Quantify business outcomes, i.e., revenue or other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate the strategy of the function and its relationship with the mission, vision and values of the organization; to clarify the actions necessary to implement this strategy within the area of responsibility; Motivate people to commit to the mission, vision and values and do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.

Education and Work History:
- Masters level degree in Food Science or Cereal/Grain Chemistry preferred, Biochemistry or related scientific field. Strong in statistic and experimental design.
- Preferred: Doctorate, Food Science or Cereal/Grain Chemistry preferred, Biochemistry or related scientific field. Strong in statistic and experimental design.
- 7 To 10 years of experience in the food industry, applying technologies in product development or development of applicable technologies. Milling Industry, in the field of development of technologies and alternatives.
- English. Advanced level
- Spanish. Medium-Advanced
