At Lam, as an Engineering Technician, you play a crucial role in supporting activities including design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. Referencing schematics, diagrams, and descriptions, you conduct testing and troubleshooting. You'll perform fault isolation and assist in determining methods to remedy malfunctions. Your commitment to precision and problem-solving enhances Lam's engineering systems.

In this role, you will directly contribute to in Lab support which includes both process and equipment related issues.

High level metrology technician capable of operating multiple tool types, generating and interpreting data, modifying recipes, and providing 1:1 support to technologists at the highest technical level.

• 6+ years of related experience.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work a shift schedule
• Toolsets include: optical and x-ray thin film measurement systems (ellipsometry, XRF, XRR), atomic force microscopy (AFM), defect inspection systems, CDSEMs, Review SEMs, FTIR,TXRF (and others).

• Associates degree, Technical Certificate, Diploma or higher in a technical field.
• Experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, metrology, lab operations or related areas.
• Experience in semiconductor experience is a plus.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
