The project accountant will collaborate directly with project managers and report to the regional assistant controller to oversee the financial and billing aspects of client projects.



Responsibilities

    Collaborate with Project Managers to appropriately set up and maintain projects, including billing terms, compensation, and project setup forms. Follow up on missing information during project setup.
  • Maintain Contract Management by ensuring that relevant documents are attached in Deltek.
  • Ensure adherence to proper project setup and close-out procedures.
  • Prepare and revise billing invoices for assigned groups.
  • Address inquiries regarding billing errors and make necessary corrections.
  • Perform accounts payable tasks, such as handling check requests and expense reports and entering of all invoices.
  • Follow up on the status of client invoices and lead collections for assigned projects/clients.
  • Demonstrate the ability to comprehend, investigate, problem solve, and expedite complex accounts payable transactions.
  • Assist with other duties throughout the month as needed.


Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Prior experience in project accounting is required.
  • AEC industry experience is desirable.
  • Familiarity with project accounting policies and procedures.
  • Previous experience with Deltek software is preferred.
