Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Loyalty, Credit & Personalization influences, leads, and expands Macy's Star Rewards loyalty and credit program and promotions with a team of colleagues through collaborative, mutually beneficial partnerships internally and with Citi external partners.

In this role, the Senior Manager focuses on driving Macy's loyalty program and credit growth through strategically designed initiatives that emphasize acquisition, engagement, and retention, leveraging personalization capabilities.

The Senior Manager leads new strategies, innovations, and test-and-learn opportunities, while building business and marketing functions to create the operating model and processes for this function.

What You Will Do



  • Drive the strategy, execution, and analytics for Star Rewards Loyalty & Credit promotions, including mass, targeted, and personalized offers across in-store and digital channels, to support Macy's sales and customer growth.
  • Collaborate with data teams to steer measurement, analytics, and reporting of promotions, ensuring campaigns deliver strong ROI with actionable insights to drive real-time business performance and inform future strategy.
  • Foster a test-and-learn culture to identify exponential opportunities for Star Rewards, developing new offers and promotions that drive incremental sales and profitable portfolio growth.
  • Develop the annual loyalty program calendar, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to align on offers, timing, and forecasted business impact.
  • Lead the channel marketing strategy and creative development, guiding a team in creating clear objectives and messaging hierarchy in collaboration with creative partners.
  • Partner closely with Brand Marketing, Communications Planning, and CRM teams to ensure optimal exposure for programs, including targeting and versioning.
  • Own the go-to-market strategy across omnichannel marketing, ensuring flawless execution of all campaigns with timely and accurate delivery and a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Work with Product and Technology teams to create customer-facing and backend technology roadmaps, launching new enhancements to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Host strategy and review sessions with leadership to align on strategic decisions and collaborate with legal teams to negotiate agreements and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with planning, finance, and accounting teams to inform sales plans based on forecasted impact of loyalty programs and quantify the impact of programs.
  • Mentor the team to support their development, set goals, and manage performance reviews.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Skills You Will Need

Microsoft Office Proficiency: Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Omnichannel Marketing Knowledge: Experience in executing marketing strategies across both digital and in-store channels.

Collaboration and Partnership: Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal partners, and external stakeholders (e.g., Citi).

Customer-Centric Approach: Focus on customer acquisition, engagement, and retention, leveraging personalization strategies.

Campaign Measurement and Optimization: Ability to measure, analyze, and optimize promotional campaigns for strong ROI and business performance.

Innovation and Test-and-Learn Culture: Foster an environment of continuous testing, learning, and innovation to drive business results.

Project Management: Effective at managing the end-to-end process of project execution, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 10+ years of experience in marketing strategy, retail marketing, and/or loyalty and credit.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
