Focus: The Health, Safety, and Emergency Response Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EH&S procedures and programs in accordance with corporate and division policies and procedures to meet company business requirements, minimize risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Health, Safety, and Emergency Response Supervisor provides performance management coaching and career development planning for direct reports and technical EH&S coaching and expertise to the broader organization.
Health, Safety, and Emergency Response Supervisor Essential Job Functions:
- Provide technical Health, Safety, and Emergency Response expertise and coaching to facilitate broad accountability of the Health and Safety process internally while serving as primary liaison with outside vendors, agencies, and officials.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure a robust EH&S culture exists including proper safety protocols, plans, and initiatives are consistently followed.
- Implement, manage, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA and other applicable requirements.
- Perform incident investigations with emphasis on driving towards root cause(s) and effective corrective actions.
- Prepare reports in accordance with the company policies and submit by required deadlines.
- Provide Emergency Response training and develop Emergency Response teams onsite.
- Collaborate with employees and supervisors to identify and correct potential health, safety, and emergency response hazards, develops corrective measures, and drives actions to completion and sustainment.
Health, Safety, and Emergency Response Supervisor Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's Degree*; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of Safety, Emergency Response or related experience.
- Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to offer guidance on Health, Safety, and Emergency Response issues with strong U.S. regulatory/compliance experience.
- Emergency response, first aid, or fire safety experience required.
- Process Safety Management (PSM) experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Products; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to meet physical requirements including, but not limited to, climbing stairs and ladders.
Location-Specific Requirements:
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
