Research Assistant I BWH Rheumatology

Under close supervision, the clinical research assistant will work on a daily basis and report to a senior staff member and principal investigators. The clinical research assistant will assume the responsibility for the daily execution of assigned projects, computerized data management and will maintain data quality for multiple projects. Principal duties may vary over time-based on the project and grant demands.
Our current ongoing project is the Cohort of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis patients (COPPAR) for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis patients and Brigham and Women's Rheumatoid Arthritis Sequential Study (BRASS) for Rheumatoid Arthritis. Collected data from this clinical registry would focus on identifying biological, clinical, and environmental risk factors associated with the targeted diseases. Principal Duties
Qualifications Qualifications * Bachelor's degree * Excellent verbal and written communication * Research experience working with data collected from questionnaires and patients preferred but not required Skills, Abilities and Competencies Required * Must have the interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons with chronic disease who are participating in research projects. * Must be able to prioritize and organize work responsibilities in order to meet deadlines so as not to hamper the progress of the studies. * Keyboard/typing skills for data entry. * Must possess integrity to maintain confidentiality. * Must demonstrate accuracy in recording data. * Must be able to make judgments under supervision for the above mentioned job duties.
