Assistant Project Accountant, Worcester, MA

We are currently looking to bring on a skilled Assistant Project Accountant with extensive commercial construction Accounts Receivable experience. We are seeking an energetic, hard-working and dependable individual for our Worcester, MA corporate office location. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks and activities in the Accounts Receivable function that may include, but not be limited to:

• Billing AIA requisitions for contracts is a must
• Interacting with project managers to determine monthly progress billing
• Manage timely monthly billing of AIA requisitions for multi-state contracts from beginning to end
• Revising monthly AIA requisitions as amended by the general contractors
• Working with estimators/project managers to get approval of schedule of values and uploading to the contract
• Confirming approval of change orders and processing them
• Billing Time and Material extras on a project and submitting to the general contractor for a change order
• Reconciling of the project for project close outs
• Processing partial and final lien waivers
• Collections of outstanding receivables
• Working with project managers to get approval of subcontractor requisitions and billing cost on our requisition to the general contractor
• Monitor and track AR balance and Payment history of clients, resolve any unpaid balances and report any disputed amounts to management
• Other assignments and projects as defined and directed

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Prior AIA requisition billing a preferred (at least 2 years)
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience in construction billing required
• Experience with strong general accounting office skills
• A quick learner who is very organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and re-prioritize based on the needs of the business.
• Must be able to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced with standard accounting and office software programs such as Windows Office with strong Excel skills.
• Experience with Procore, Textura, PM Web a plus
• Time and material billing experience a plus
