DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of machinery including graders, backhoes, bulldozers, high-lifts, and front-end loaders with a bucket capacity of three cubic yards or greater, utilized in various construction, maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks, including snow removal and cindering activities. Additionally, you will operate smaller equipment and carry out labor tasks on designated projects. You will also engage in or support the general maintenance and cleaning of all park facilities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; or
  • Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more: or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience or training.
Special Requirement:
  • This position requires possession of a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.
Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
