The Impact You'll Make

The SAP Solution Architect will be responsible for the end-to-end business processes definition, implementation, and configuration of Record to Report track in ECC and S4 environment and associated tools for successful implementation of a Business/Digital Transformation Project. This person will also be responsible for commercial integration with Sales, Procurement and Manufacturing functions.

The ideal candidate should be a highly skilled Senior SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) expert with a deep expertise in Finance, Controlling with hands-on experience in S/4HANA migration projects. The candidate will also have the expertise in tax and global trade domains.

The candidate would help support and build the future state key financial processes in a complex environment during the Transition/migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. Highly skilled in cross-module integrations involving SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and PP (Production Planning) alongside strong knowledge of AR, AP, GL, tax, asset accounting, consolidation, Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), FSCM Credit Management, Bank account Management and GTS.

What You'll Do

Leadership

  • Lead, plan, design, and execute the migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, focusing on finance, controlling, tax and trade domains.
  • Assess current ECC system configurations, business processes, and data to develop migration strategies.
  • Drive and manage full-cycle SAP S/4HANA migration projects, from system conversion to new implementations.
  • Identify and manage gaps, changes, and enhancements between ECC and S/4HANA functionalities.
  • Analyze business requirements and provide functional expertise, guidance, and solutions aligned with SAP best practices in finance and controlling processes.

Oversee Designs & Configuration

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP FICO modules, with a particular focus on Product Costing (CO-PC) and Cost Object Controlling (CO-OM).
  • Reconfigure or optimize FICO modules (AR, AP, GL, asset accounting, tax, etc.) to bridge the gap between ECC and S/4 environment.
  • Work with global trade team while migrating from SAP GTS 11i to SAP GTS E4H.

Cross-Module Integrations

  • Ensure seamless integration of FICO modules with other key modules such as SD (Sales & Distribution), MM (Materials Management), and PP (Production Planning).
  • Collaborate with business process owners, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration between finance, controlling, and other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, PP).

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

  • Work closely with business leaders, finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and manage expectations throughout the migration project.
  • Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and trends, providing recommendations for continuous improvement in financial processes to the business stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in SAP FICO with a strong focus on ECC to S/4HANA migrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles combined with deep SAP technical expertise.
  • Strong understanding of taxation and compliance within an SAP environment.
  • Ability to integrate and streamline multi-system landscapes. This role requires both wide and deep technical and functional expertise.
  • Expertise in SAP FICO modules (AR, AP, GL, tax, asset accounting, consolidation, Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR), FSCM Credit Management, Bank account Management) and SAP GTS with deep integration knowledge of SD, MM, and PP.
  • Leadership and Management experience and capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to support complex, cross-functional processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP certification in FICO and/or GTS is highly desirable.
  • Experience in global SAP implementations or rollouts, with complex multi-system interfaces.
  • Experience in a large multi-year transformation program in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based and on-premises integration technologies (e.g., SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit).
  • Significant experience in manufacturing industry-specific costing process.
  • Experience on complex cross-system integrations, including FP&A systems like Snowflake, SAC or Adaptive (for planning and forecasting), Vertex and other external systems such as Concur, Blackline, Bloomberg, and others.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $132,000.00 -$276,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
