Overview

The purpose of this job is to review, identify, classify, index and format documents received in the indexing queue of the loan image workflow system. This employee will review, identify, classify, prepare, scan and index documents received from various internal lending sources (Retail, Credit, Compliance, Operations, etc.) and external sources (Attorneys, Closing Agents, Insurance Agents, etc.) into the loan imaging system. This employee will also handle customer service calls from internal Trustmark employees regarding classification, imaging and indexing, when needed.



Responsibilities

    Review, identify, classify, prepare, scan and index new, renewed and modified loan documents that do not meet the criteria for remote scanning
  • Review, identify, classify, prepare, scan and index loan documents, insurance documents, loan maintenance forms, transactions batches, etc.
  • Review of each page of each document in the indexing queue. Each page is reviewed for identification, determination of the document to which the page belongs and determination of whether reformatting is required. Each document is reviewed for identification, determination of the document classification, the automated classification and the assigned indexes (Application ID #, Account #, Note #, etc.). When required, reformat and reassign pages and index or re-index documents to the correct document categories and/or index folders
  • Provide support for internal employees for classification, indexing and imaging questions. (Lenders, CMC, CLC, CDP, Retail Loan Operations, Compliance etc.)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High school education with 1 year of loan documentation knowledge
  • Basic retail consumer, commercial & SBA loan documentation knowledge
  • Basic collateral and lien perfection documentation knowledge
  • Basic specialized loans documentation knowledge (participations, commitments, letter of credit, etc.)
  • Ability to recognize individual loan documents
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Basic computer skills
  • Communication skills
  • Customer Service skills

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screens.
