Description
A Site Administrator at Bell Nursery is the administrative leader for a complex agricultural operation. The Site Administrator primarily manages and effectively implements the administrative duties to support a major greenhouse production facility and/or distribution unit. In addition, this role is responsible for the human resources administration for their location. The Site Administrator assists the General Manager of the facility in staff capacity by coordinating office services, such as personnel, budget preparation and control, housekeeping, records control, and special management studies. Tasks and Responsibilities
- Compile data based on research techniques and on statistical compilations involving an understanding of operating programs, policies, and procedures.
- Perform typing and transcription duties as required.
- Establish procedures that implement operational and/or fiscal policies.
- Independently compose reports and correspondence containing decisions that tend to establish precedents and which may commit a unit or superior to a course of action.
- Arrange, participate in, and implement, as directed, meetings.
- Coordinate the activities/schedules of supervisors
- Assist with the recruitment process
- Complete new hire paperwork
- Process employee change reports to HR
- Complete termination reports and submit to HR
- Coordinate benefits, new hires and terminations with HR
- Document performance issue to HR under the guidance of supervisor
- Agricultural transactions to build and reconcile SKUs
- Coding site payables to corporate team
- Appropriate/rapid escalation of critical issues to site leadership
- Approve timecards for biweekly payroll
- Lead new hire orientation
- Assist with Benefits Open Enrollment annually
- Ongoing administration of Human Resources Information System
- Maintain Safety Program Checklist
- Assist in online shipping/boxing
- Assist in printing cart signs for weekly shipping
- Assist in QC of products, signs, labels, and tags for accuracy
Qualifications
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent); some college experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of clerical experience
- Strong typing skills
- Strong accuracy and detail orientation
- BilingualEnglish and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work a full-time schedule including some weekends and some holidays.
- Strong interpersonal, motivating, organizational, and follow through skills.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office. Great Plains and HRIS system experience helpful
