POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the growth of marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, acquire new consumers while retaining existing consumers, successfully commercialize new product launches, and support cross-functional teams so they can provide best-in-class brand experiences across all channels of distribution. This is a highly collaborative role that will partner with the heads of Creative, Media, RealTruck.com, Retail, and Sales to drive brand engagement and revenue-creation through aligned marketing strategies and activities across all channels.

CORE FUNCTIONS



  • Develop the short and long-term integrated marketing strategies and plan for growth.
  • Guide and manage engaging and effective content and experiences by clearly identifying/defining the challenge to be solved across all consumer touch points.
  • Work with leadership teams to ensure compliance with brand standards and promotional efforts and messages.
  • Develop, implement, and execute robust consumer marketing programs to generate awareness and acquire new customers including advertising (print and digital), website/e-commerce, social media, public relations, events, promotions, and point-of-purchase (POP) materials.
  • Write and guide briefs for all creative deliverables including product messaging, film (photo & video), web, advertising (print & digital), events, promotions, POP, and social media.
  • Formulate and track key metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities.
  • In collaboration with the Product Management team, develop the brand strategy for new product opportunities, and ensure new products are commensurate with building the brand.
  • In collaboration with the Creative team, promote and maintain consistent brand image and messaging across all channels.
  • In collaboration with Sales leadership, develop effective programs to increase sales and profits.
  • Manage marketing-related agency relationships.
  • Hire, develop, train, manage, and lead marketing talent.
  • Build scalable, efficient, and effective processes and systems.
  • Create and implement budgets designed to meet all targets and goals. Manage reporting of all financial information pertaining to marketing dollars and communicate appropriately.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of related consumer product brand marketing experience, including 5 years of management experience is required.
  • Basic understanding or experience working in the automotive aftermarket or motorsports product industry preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive results as well as change management through cross functional teams.
  • Experience and comfort presenting to senior leadership.
  • A track record of positively influencing and leading cross-functional marketing programs and processes.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year period.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing strategies, tools, and tactics with a deep understanding of business and management principles.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), with familiarity in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small or large group situations to customers, clients, and other employees within the organization.


Travel



  • Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manager+: Plans, organizes, evaluates, and directs the employees within the department function. Has direct reports.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • This position is subject to medium work; Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.


Physical Activities



  • This position may be subject to standing, walking, use of hands to feel, handle, or touch, reaching, talking, and hearing.


Visual Acuity



  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.


Working Conditions



  • This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions; while usually protected from weather conditions, but not necessarily temperature changes, there will be times of exposure to outdoor weather conditions and temperature change. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; the noise level at events may be loud.
