The Purchasing Services Department at the University of Minnesota is seeking a Card Programs Administrator that is motivated to learn and share your talents and experiences with fellow team members. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Purchasing Card and Travel Card Program - 40%

  • Create and manage new card applications
  • Manage ticket queue and work with cardholders, DCA's and/or US Bank to resolve any card issues
  • Answer policy or procedural questions
  • Troubleshoot issues with reconciliation in both the EFS and Chrome River system.
  • Manage the Department Card Administrator (DCA) Group

PCard/TCard Audit and Analysis - 40%

  • Research and analysis of procurement card payment activity and program compliance, specifically looking for cards to be canceled or reassigned to a different department
  • Participate in risk identification and the development of monthly procurement card audit plans
  • Perform audits on cardholders, departments and prepare audit summary reports, highlighting problem areas, etc
  • Complete special projects to improve audit department performance as necessary
  • Develop reporting formats and methodology for pulling and summarizing data for preparing various reports to analyze issues and trends
  • Prepare the monthly account reconciliation for PCard and TCard.

Travel Program - 20%

  • Answer policy or procedural questions
  • Assist travelers with unique situations
  • Assist travelers processing expenses in the Travel and Expense System

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (please document on the resume):

  • BA/BS degree OR a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years.
  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience in Excel and similar programs
  • Accounts payable, general office and financial systems experience

Preferred Qualifications (please document on the resume):

  • Intermediate accounting knowledge (debits and credits)
  • Experience working with purchasing or credit cards
  • Experience in Excel and similar programs
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $54,000 - $59,000 depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment

Position Type: Civil-Service & Non-Faculty Labor Represented Staff
