They guide students through campus life and assist students with academics, personal growth and development, recreational activities, as well as serve as a chaperone for evening activities. RAs plan and implement intentional in-person social interactions and educational programming, primarily in the evenings, to build connections, both individually and collectively, with the students. Examples of such activities include, but are not limited to, trips to Campus Rec, movie nights, directed topical discussions, or workshops. RAs also complete nightly check-ins, monitor curfew, and help students adapt to residence hall life. RAs should be highly accessible in the residence hall and around campus, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.
We are seeking mature, dependable, energetic young adults who enjoy working with teens. Ideal opportunity for future educators, but all majors encouraged.
