CNC Lead Machinist - Washing Systems (Commercial Laundry)

Washing Systems, LLC (WSI) is the largest supplier of laundry chemicals to the commercial laundry industry in North America. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Engineering Specialist is a key member of the Engineering/Equipment Department with responsibilities, including, but not limited to, equipment activities, engineering projects, and providing expert technical guidance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES AND TASKS:

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:




  1. Fixture Design, Part Design, Documentation to include SOP's and training.
  2. Accurately document setup and production information and any deviations or adjustments made during processes.
  3. Maintain detailed records for traceability and future reference.
  4. Identify and resolve machine issues, including tool wear, programming or mechanical.
  5. Installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  6. Machining parts to specifications, verifying and establishing proper QA for inventory supply
  7. Consult with customers, vendors and field technicians to solve issues and/or make arrangements of resources required for a project
  8. Assist Engineering/Manufacturing with additional day to day activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's degree/Trade in Mechanical Engineering/CNC or related field and one to two years of applicable experience is desired. The company will also consider equivalent military education with four plus years of applicable experience or high school diploma/GED and eight plus years of applicable experience.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong knowledge operation of common hand tools and motorized tools.
  • Strong Teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experienced HAAS and MasterCam use and operations.
